Hello! My name is Marnel. I am a wife and mother to 3 beautiful children. I was born and raised in South Africa, but we moved to Canada in 2001. 

 

I fell in love with junk journaling in 2021. It combines all the things I love and feel passionate about; paper, journaling, memory keeping, sewing, fabrics, and everything vintage. 

 

My junk journaling journey started long before I knew what a junk journal was. I have always kept a very casual journal filled with tickets, magazine images, photos, and much more. Even my scrapbook albums are filled with secret pockets, notes, and things that remind me of a special memory. I discovered several YouTube channels during the pandemic and knew that that’s what I wanted to do.  I started my own YouTube channel and Etsy shop in 2022.  It has been a steep learning curve, but it has given me a new sense of purpose after my youngest daughter left for university.
